Our Mission
We support and accompany people with disabilities on the path to a fulfilling life (active, independent, self-realizing, happy).
Strategic vision
Community services supporting and accompanying people with disabilities on their journey to independence and inclusion in society. We want our clients to learn how to navigate their way in society, to build relationships within the community, to learn how to manage their lives, to have their own plans and goals to work towards. We provide a supportive environment for them to do this, we create a variety of activities, and we invite our clients into the process of creating them. They are not only beneficiaries, they are also co-creators of the programme (the level of involvement is individual).
Our activities are carried out with the intention of preparing people with disabilities for independent living. We are based on the philosophy of Independent Living. Every person with a disability has the right to live as they choose, in a natural environment in society. A range of support services are available to overcome the limitations caused by disability.
Activities include training in managing their daily functioning (eating, hygiene, education, work, family, leisure), including the use of personal assistance as the best tool for independent living and preparation for independent living. It also includes training in self-advocacy (expressing one's needs, one's wants, knowing one´s rights and human rights documents, making decisions and then evaluating and being accountable for them).
We support our clients to feel part of their community, their neighbourhood, their city, their state, including the EU. They need to know and exercise their human and civil rights. We accompany them in learning about their society and participating in the processes that take place in it.
